Actor, born February 3, 1970, Warwick Davis was 2' 11" tall when Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) (his first acting job) was filmed.
Warwick's grandmother heard a radio annoucement calling for people under 4 feet in height to try out for Return of the Jedi. She took him, then 2-foot-11, to the audition and he won the role of Wicket, the lead Ewok.
Warwick portrayed Wicket Wysrti Warrick the Ewok in three films - "Return of the Jedi", "The Ewok Adventure: Caravan of Courage" and "Ewoks: The Battle for Endor", although he is probably best known for his portrayal of the title role in "Willow" (1988), where he met his wife Samantha, an extra. He has two children: a daughter, Annabelle, born in 1997 and a son, Harrison, born in 2003.
