TS2 Anyone
I'm not a simmer. My computer is way too slow. But I saw a wish in a thread for a TS2 thread. And I'm here to please! So have fun talking about
your legacies here!
Kindness is a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
When it's all over, it's not who you were but whether you made a difference. -- Bob Dole
May those who love us love us,
and those who do not love us,
may God turn their hearts,
and if He cannot turn their hearts
may He turn their ankles
that we may know them by their limping.

Well, I think skratch and I are the only simmers here, at least as far as I know. I was perfectly happy pulling other threads off-topic so I could
talk about my legacy. *snicker* I was going to work on updating my legacy tonight actually, but I lost my legacy notebook. I've already blogged about
it and whined to skratch about it, so I don't think I have to whine about it anymore. (See how my new smiley fits in so well?!)
I did just hear that the new EP is going to be Pets though, and I'm so bummed. I hated pets the first time around, but mainly because there were
always strays pooping in your yard and coming in your house any time they pleased. When Makin' Magic came out for TS1 I turned every single one of my
pets into sims with that one spell you could use. Pets were just useless in TS1, but so were children because you really couldn't do anything with
them and they never grew up. I shouldn't be so judgemental about an EP I haven't even played yet I guess, but I suppose I was hoping for something
else. I would love to get a Makin' Magic-type EP for TS2. That was my favorite one for TS1.

I wonder if pets will age in sims 2 which should mean they only live 6 or 7 days and then die of old age.

Yay for TS2! I think Ponine played TS1, but her compy won't handle TS2. If she had the opportunity, she'd play.
I'm iffy about Pets. I certainly hope there's more to it than that. I think we'll have to see, but I'd much rather have other new elements
incorporated. I never had Making Magic, but I'd love to see stuff like that again.
Mad-Eye, you can't give up on your Legacy, I won't let you. I'll hunt you down, haunting you until I get more. Because I miss it. And I think I
will need Simmermuerte sooner or later, but my Body Shop doesn't seem to like extracted sims, only those created in Body Shop. So we'll see.
With it being summer, I have time for my Legacy now. And I started an assylum, too. I think you'll be in shock when you see what LTW my sane person
got. Ugh, it's driving me insane.

My favorite part of my legacy is creating all the side stories--Simmermuerte and Gilbert, getting Marsha from the orphanage (that orphanage was
super-cool; I wanted to put tons of pictures of it in the chapter but my chapters are too long as it is!), having Marla's sister's costume ball
thing, etc. The side stories are way more interesting than my legacy I think, because I find legacy life to be very boring. I don't have the talent
like some people do (Katnick and Candi for instance) to make the everyday life interesting and fresh. I find myself struggling to incorporate my
legacy family into my legacy! lol I'm not giving up on it, but I've had a hard time finding time to sim at all lately. I've barely played the OFB
elements at all.
As for Simmermuerte--I think I told you about his memory problems? I don't know if they would present in someone else's game, but I know when I
package him to a file and then install him into a different neighborhood (that whole sequence when Gilbert and Simmermuerte kill Jughead by flies at
the end of chapter six I had to put copies of them and my legacy lot into Pleasantview so I wouldn't be cheating on my legacy lot--I did actually
kill Jughead by flies but I used the method that I use in my death tutorial)..what was I saying? Oh, when I package Simmermuerte to a file and put him
in a different neighborhood, I have a really hard time playing him. His memory files are somewhat corrupted I think (thanks to my early ineptitude
with SimPe) and he gets stuck a lot or just stands there stamping his foot or doing the fist thing with his hands. I was thinking about trying to
recreate him so I could have a fresh one but I'm not sure I could. There's also the option of sim surgery--I've read about how you can take any sim
and in SimPe just paste a face over their face and then when you play the game, that sim has the other sim's face. So if I made a fresh sim I could
just paste Simmermuerte's face over theirs and then not have the memory issues going on. I dunno--do you know anything about that?
Anyhow about the pets EP, there's a blurb on Snooty Sims about it:
http://www.snootysims.com/petsindex.php?id=pets
Not much is known and Maxis hasn't released anything official about it as far as I know. If you have to spend time training them and such, you
wouldn't think they would die so fast. And maybe there will be an option to elixer of life your pets too. I don't know that I will play the pets
part of the EP too much, but there must be other things that the pack will offer that I will be interested in. I didn't think I would like Nightlife
at all and actually some of the options that came with NL are some of my favorite options in the game.

Yup, that's about as much as we knew already. I wish we just knew more, so we would actually sound like we know what we're saying.
As for Nightlife, I wasn't too sure about that, either. The whole chemistry stuff had me confused. It still has me slightly confused: almost everone
in my neighborhood is attracted to all the others of the other gender to one degree or another. How does that work out?
I know absolutely nothing about SimPe. Never used it or tried it, don't have it downloaded. I'd suggest asking around at MTS2.
My hyperness is gone; it takes me longer to type now.

Well, I know a lot about it now, but I've never done the sim surgery thing. There's an option to do it right in the toolbar, but I never bothered
using it. I suppose if you REALLY have to have Simmermuerte, I'll just have to learn. SimPe is fun--I mainly use it to set all my maids so they have
10 neatness and cleaning points though. lol

I don't REALLY have to have him, I just think it would be fun. No pressure at all to get me Simmermuerte. As I said, I seem to have trouble with my
game recognizing downloads extracted from other's games, rather than coming from Body Shop. I don't get it.

Do you have the sims2 cleanpack installer installed? I have problems with that and I have to change it to the bodyshop installer sometimes to get a
package to install properly.

I do have clean pack. I guess I'll have to take a look at that. How do I change it back over? Do I seem utterly and hopelessly clueless?

I like to upload pictures because I think it's easier than text writing it out, so...
You start with your package, whatever it is, in the envelope thing which denotes the clean pack installer. Right click on it and select properties.

So then you get this box thingy and you have to hit the change button (to change what program it opens with).

Pick a program and hit okay.

Then click apply and then okay.

If the icon turns into the body shop dude, you're good to go.

Whoa, my very own tutorial. Goodness me, I feel so special. Only thing is, I'll have to work out of IE. Bf introduced me to Firefox, and me likes it
much. But it has an odd system for downloading content. Much faster if it is packages like that rather than files or zipped files, but still odd.
edit: Getting closer to an update. Not quite there yet, but I'm close. One more kid to ship to Uni. I've gotta get them into the Greek House,
though, which can be a stickler. Thankfully the eldest is already there. I should start work on the pictures at least, if not the text, tomorrow. As
in, I'm going to bed soon. Nighty night! And thanks again for my tutorial. Did I say I feel special?

I usually download with Firefox as well. Just click 'save to disk' instead of the default option and it will put the package on your desktop.

I'm going to make my simself have kids with Snape now. We're in looooooooove. Our boutique is a level six business already and it's just the two of
us. (I never did a boutique before but it's pretty fun--your simself has a gold flower arranging badge so we have snapdragons all over the place for
mood boosts and we also sell them in addition to doing our makeovers. I think your simself is starting to resent me though. You do all the work and I
take all the money.) Snape refuses to help us in the shop. Anyhow, I tried doing him without the custom skin and he looks nothing like Snape, so I
want to see how our kids turn out. When they're teenagers, I'll upload the pictures! I may have to do another us series!

Yeah, um, I just cheated to get your kids to teens. I love boolProp for that. It really is the custom skin that does it for Snape. As I said before,
that skin made his poor little daughter look like Snape was crossdressing.

*snicker* Poor kid. She's lucky I wanted to make a custom makeup for her. Nothing else quite cut it. I actually combined it with some contacts from
MTS2.
Glad to hear that our botique is doing so well. Somehow, I'm not surprised that your simself is using mine for her own personal gains. And let's think about this: Snape, in a botique? Hello? Let him make robots
or something (we really do need an alchemy set or something). And I'd love to see the next us series!

To be fair to my simself, I am the better beautician of the two of us. You've messed up a lot more makeovers than I have. You mainly sell stuff and
restock and I do the makeovers and cash register. It works out pretty well but I still think you're the more overworked of the two of us. Snape has
had several mysterious ailments from the biotech station and I've considered letting him die just so I could see what his ghost will do, but I
decided not to.

My simself mess up makeovers? I don't believe it. I guess art doesn't completly mimic life. Although I get really nervous putting eyeliner on other
people.
And Snape has ailments from the Biotech Station? That's hilarious.

Awesome. At least I make cool floral boquets. I'm not surprised. I helped my friend's mom decide where to place the 7 or 8 paintings she had bought
from Mervyn's for her bedroom. She just wasn't sure where to put all of them. She had pretty good ideas for most of them, but some I moved around,
and suggested another mirror rather than a painting above the fireplace in her bathroom. They have an awesome house.

I spent some time playing our weird little family tonight and got all the kids through to teenagehood. I suffered from the firstborn effect with the
two boys but the girl has a unique face. None of them ended up with Snape's custom skin which I'm very shocked about since Sim me only has a default
Maxis skin.

Acrisius is on the left (he's the elder) and Marcus is on the right. I've had so many twins in my game but never identical ones. These two aren't
twins but I may as well pretend they are. Acrisius became romance and has Snape's basic personality (very active and serious and clean and mean, but
he also got some outgoing points which Snape doesn't have) and has hair color turn ons and stink turnoff. Marcus became popularity and has Sim me's
basic personality (sloppy, playful, lazy but is maxed outgoing and six point nice). I never did take a look at what their LTWs are.

This is Helena. She's actually not that bad. I was thinking I would have to stick a costume mask on her once I saw her brothers, but I ended up not
having to after all. Sim you spent the most time with Helena (you taught her all her toddler skills) so you must have had an effect on her. She's a
pisces, and is maxed out outgoing and nice, 9 point active and neat, and 1 point serious. All in all she has a fantastic skill-building personality,
which is great considering she became a knowledge sim. The three adults are close to achieving their LTWs, and after that I think we'll open a bakery
or something. Snape is highly attracted to sim you, but I'm keeping him away from you. I feel bad--you're 4 days away from elderhood and you've
never so much as had a kiss! I guess I'll have to elixer you and hook you up with Goopy or something.

The kids look good, Mad-Eye. And I agree, Helena turned out very well. I had an effect on her, lol.
Snape? Attracted to me? How did that happen? And I've been neglected. *sniff* No Goopy, please (I can't stand those romance asdkj;ag types), but if
it's gonna be a townie, I've found that Kennedy Cox isn't half bad, especially if you change his hair and clothes. :O: I married him into my
(sorta) second legacy. Yay for elixer.

Well, who do you want to marry? I can download a sim for you to marry if you want. I can also download one to be your boyfriend. Then you will have
one boyfriend and one husband. That'll be okay. ;-)
