DH ending revealed by hacker
Posted on Jun 21 2007 by Mad-Eye
No, you won't get the spoiler here so don't continue if that's what you're looking for.

This story is EVERYWHERE on the internet and I've read it. I will go officially on the record by saying that I think it is highly improbable that the story of the hacker is true. Off the record I say that the hacker is full of crap and I'll eat my favorite cat Simon for dinner if DH ends the way he claims it does.

The point of this story, however, is to warn people to be very careful where they go from now on for their Harry Potter news. It does seem likely that eventually some real spoilers will be released, and if you're taken unawares you'll be very sorry! Trust me; I was spoiled for HBP and it was not an enjoyable experience.

SoB.net has a spoiler-free policy, as do many other sites. Make sure your favorite site has a similar policy if you continue to go there.

An HP Movie Fan Tells Thoughts of OotP
Posted on Jun 17 2007 by PadfootReturns
A self proclaimed non-book-movie-only fan of HP tells his thoughts about the movie OotP. This person has never read one of the books. And he said since he has not he's not sure how the book fans will like it. DUH!  The writer, I'm only assuming a he, said this was the most audience friendly HP movie to date. So will WE like it? Who knows? But we don't have too much longer to wait.  Read about it here.

Posted on Jun 14 2007 by Mad-Eye
We took some time after taking the test to transcribe the Grade 3 W.O.M.B.A.T. questions for the forums. If you would like to view the transcript or share your answers with us, you'll find the thread here. We also have the transcripts from the first two W.O.M.B.A.T.s here. You must be a registered member to post, but anyone may view the transcripts without being registered. If you want to take the transcripts for your Harry Potter site, please feel free. SonOfaBludger.net would appreciate being given credit for the transcripts though.

The Artwork is OUT!!

See Mary GrandPre's artwork for the Deluxe Deathly Hollows a little closer at Scholastic. Talk about it here. David Saylor, Vice President, Creative Director, Scholastic described the art:

“Set during a highly dramatic sunset, Harry, Hermione, and Ron--clothes in tatters--cling atop a flying dragon in this astonishing artwork created by Mary GrandPré for the deluxe edition. As mist creeps down towering hillsides to a village below, questions arise about where the trio is headed and what has led them to this spellbinding moment."

Lost Child May be featured on Bookmarks with last book
Posted on Jun 04 2007 by PadfootReturns

A four year old girl named Madeleine McCann was abducted last month in Portugal. JKR has already shown her support to the cause of searching for Maddie by contributing to a multi-million pound reward. The family is asking for her to place a picture of Madeleine on bookmarks for Deathly Hallows. Their hope is to get her face seen by as many people as possible.

Madeleine was abducted from her parents hotel room while she was sleeping with her 2 year old twin siblings as her parents ate at a nearby restaurant. The greatest fear at this point is she may have been sold into slavery to be abused for many years to come. So we will post a picture of her here. We have a very small following and only a few from the UK. But we'll do our part to help in the search. We will also be praying for the safe return of Madeleine.

Happy Birthday, Draco!

Happy Birthday to one we love to hate. Tom Felton does such a good job with the character. So here's to a happy day and maybe some redemption for Draco as well.

OotP release moved up to 7/11
Posted on May 31 2007 by Mad-Eye
According to many news sources and the official Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix site, the release of OotP is being moved up two days to Wednesday 7/11/07. Warner Bros. has given no explanation for the change, so fans are left to speculate on their own. Maybe they realized that 7/13 was Friday the 13th and didn't want to risk it!
